LABORATORY    REPORT    GUIDELINE

When preparing the laboratory report you can use a word processor (it may save you time to have a template that you can follow for each laboratory, according to the guidelines described below).

The lab groups should be not be greater than 2 members per group.  Each group will turn in a formal lab report. Generally, it is required that a formal lab report should contain the following information:

  1. Title, date and name of students in the group.
  2. Follow the report format listed below:

a.       Introduction

Objective of the experiment.

b.      Theories

Present all the fundamental theories used in each experiment.

c.       Results of experiments

According to the requirements of each lab, list all data collected in the experiment and show them graphically if necessary. Analyze the data and compare them with theoretical value.

d.      Laboratory questions

Include your solution for each lab question in the lab report. Any plot or form obtained during the experiment should be parts of the report.

e.       Conclusion

Summarize the results and what you have learned from the lab experiment. Discuss your discoveries/problems/suggestions if any.

f.        Sign and date the entry.
