Resources For Research Students
A great article about how to read a research article:
Paper Template
Right click your mouse here to get the template to write a research paper. When the menu pops up, choose "Save Target As..." Then save it on your computer. On the template, everything in black should stay. Everything in red should be replaced with your own information. Do change all the type to black before you turn it in. I did this template in the format of the final paper. To do your proposal, just leave out the abstract, results and discussion sections. You'll also make the Method section future tense (such as "I will select subjects...").
To write your paper and your proposal, you can just save this attachment as a Word file. Then open it, replace the red typing with your own information, and save it as your proposal. Then, when I grade and return your proposal, you can open it, finish it, and save it as your final paper.
