ORGANIZATION
Army - 2 or more divisions, commanded by a Lt. General
Division - 2 or more brigades, commanded by a Major General
Brigade - 2 or more regiments, commanded by a Brigadier General
Regiment - usually 8 to 10 companies, commanded by a Colonel
Battalion - in 18th century, usually the same thing as a regiment
Company - usually 60-90 men, commanded by a captain
