Sample Criticism Requirements
for Doing a Webpage
 

Web (i.e., technology) requirements

• Create a page title (that type that appears in the web browser bar)

• Put a clear title on the page

• Use headings as appropriate

• Use images sized appropriately

• A table used effectively (consider different row and column configurations)

• Font size and color varied as appropriate, but not wild or distracting

• Change the background from plain white—and not just ivory smart one

• Create a link to the Sample Criticism Main Page, labeled "Return to Sample Criticism Main Page"

• Insert links to supporting websites

• DO NOT simply post your abstract—create an interesting executive summary

• Pose two discussion questions for the class to engage

Abstract Requirements

• Two to four pages
• The basic layout guidelines and suggestions
• Describe the method in light of how your article describes and applies it
• Review the analysis done
• What contributions does the author attempt in the conclusion?
• Schedule to see me a week in advance for review of your draft
• Post your discussion questions in D2L
• Electronically submit your abstract formatted as RTF to me
