ETSU's Kappa Mu Epsilon Chapter

Spring 2015 Activity

The TN Beta chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon met on Thursday April 9, 2015. New officers were elected for academic 2015-16. Chapter funds were used to provide pizza from the Italian Pizza Pub and soft drinks from Kroger. Robert "Dr. Bob" Gardner gave a presentation on "Euclid's Elements of Geometry.'' The audience included alumni, current members, and new 2015 initiates.


On April 16, 2015, the Tennessee Beta chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon held the initiation ceremony for new members. The ceremony was held at the ETSU Department of Mathematics and Statistics' annual Honors Banquet. The keynote speaker was Brian K. Post of the Manufacturing Systems Research Group at Oak Ridge national Laboratory. He gave a presentation on "additive manufacturing," also known as 3D printing. A total of 18 new members were initiated, bringing the chapter's cumulative membership to 841. The new initiates were:
