The Three Stooges and Trigonometry
Three Stooges logo

In Spring 2010, Drs. Robert Davidson and Bob Gardner started a program of using information from the Three Stooges to motivate students in trigonometry classes. The following documents, housed on Google Drive (but requiring no login), were used in this program:

  1. The PowerPoint presentation introducing the Stooges and the worksheet is here.
  2. The worksheet is online: Worksheet.
  3. The solutions to this worksheet are online: Worksheet Solutions.
  4. The PowerPoint file used in the presentation at the 89th annual meeting of the Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America which describes the use of these ideas in the classroom is online.
  5. Questionaire for student feedback on this project.

There are also copies of these documents housed on the ETSU server, though they are subject to deletion at some point; see The Three Stooges and Trigonometry (housed on the ETSU server) webpage.

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!
