Product Description
We at Chaos, Inc., have designed a tool called the Paper Clamp. This device will eliminate damage to flow charts and maps that will not stay on conventional easels. The Paper Clamp will grip posters, maps, and other forms of visual aids that need to be held up for various types of displays. The Paper Clamp has eight major parts: back plate, front plate, shaft, channel brackets, thumb screws, swivels, straight torsion springs, and foam rubber stripping. The back plate and front plate are made of 6061 aluminum (UNS A96061) and can be anodized gold or silver. The shaft and channel brackets are made of aluminum bronze (UNS C95500) which are standard parts for all forms of the Paper Clamp, and will not be anodized. The standard hardware items (e.g., thumb screws, swivels, straight torsion springs, and foam rubber stripping) are ordered from vendors.
The estimated production costs for the Paper Clamp in quantities of 10,000 units will be $12.89 for non-anodized and $14.89 for anodized. The suggested retail price will be $25.00 for non-anodized and $27.50 for anodized.
