Virtual Science K-8

Virtual Science K-8 is a project designed to provide interactive activities which demonstrate basic scientific principles. The activities are all inquiry-based, as students manipulate experimental variables and observe the results.    Some models are suitable for elementary school students, while others are designed for middle school students.

The simpler exercises engage students with observing and counting.  The more advanced exercises provide data to analyze and graphs to interpret.  All of the activities include a 'world view' in which the students can observe the results.

These models were created in the Netlogo environment and require Java 1.4.1 or higher to run.
