Balbal.  7th to 9th century AD.

Turkic Balbal can be found scattered throughout Mongolia, most commonly in the west and northwest provinces.  Typically they are depicted clothed in the herder's traditional del and clutching a knife in one hand and a cup in the other.  This one, however, appears to have no cloak, and clutches in both hands what looks to be a large vase or vessel of some kind.
