- Deep convection cells bring this
C to the surface where it is blown off into space
by strong stellar winds.
- Over time, these strong stellar winds completely blow off the outer
envelope producing a planetary nebula and a burnt
out C-rich core called a
white dwarf star.
- This nuclear processed material can then be used in the production of new
stellar systems. The C atoms from which we are
made were created in ancient red giant stars.
