I joined the
faculty of the Department of Biological Sciences in 1988. I recently attained the rank of
full Professor. My main
interests are teaching and advising. I’m one of two faculty currently
responsible for all the undergraduate advising in the department. I’m responsible for teaching the
following courses:
• BIOL
1310/1311 Concepts in Biology
• BIOL
3150 Cell Biology Lecture
• BIOL
3151 Cell Biology Lab
• BIOL
5100 Topics in Cell and Molecular Biology (several faculty rotate teaching
this course)
In addition, I
assist with managing our graduate teaching assistants who are assigned to
teach the freshman laboratories, especially BIOL 1111 Biology for Science
Majors I.
