I am an associate professor in the department of Biological Sciences.  My main emphasis is biology curriculum development and advising students.  My current activities involve working on three grant-supported projects:

• Development of a new course called Concepts in Biology (BIOL 1310/1311). 

• Assisting with our NSF funded STEP program (Talent Expansion in Quantitative Biology).

• Assisting with development of our new integrative curriculum collectively called SYMBIOSIS.

In addition, I'm one of two faculty in the department responsible for undergraduate advising.   As an advisor, I am responsible for assisting our Biology majors as they move through our curriculum.
