Modifying Images

Left click on the image to highlight and right click on the image to open this window

Notice several choices that pertain to images:

  1. AUTO THUMBNAIL- allows you to produce a thumbnail of the image, very useful if you have large images or need to put several images on a single page.
  2. CHANGE PICTURE FILE TYPE- this will allow you to alter the file type of the image if needed for certain functions.
  3. SHOW PICTURES TOOLBAR- this command will open the picture toolbar that allows you to modify the picture.
  4. PICTURE PROPERTIES- this command opens another window that allows you to change image size, position relative to text, etc..
  5. HYPERLINK-this button opens the hyperlink window and allows you to make the image a hyperlink to open another web site.

 

AUTO THUMBNAIL- clicking this option produces a thumbnail of the image

This thumbnail is actually a hyperlink that will allow you to open a larger version of the image in another window (try it).

CHANGE IMAGE FILE TYPE-clicking this option opens this window.  You can change the image file type according to the described choices.  Use these descriptions to decide upon the best type of image file for your web site.
SHOW PICTURE TOOLBAR-this button opens the image toolbar. With this bar, you can modify the image in various ways:
  • Turn the image to various directions
  • Change the brightness and contrast of the image
  • Crop the image
PICTURE PROPERTIES-this button opens a new window that allows you to vary properties like:
  • Wrapping- how to position the image in reference to any text near the image. 
  • Layout- using the dropdown box
