Black History Awareness Month
 

   Spotlight On

        
A Raisin in the Sun, on ABC, February 25 at 8 PM.  Raisin,  a highly acclaimed, award winning play, was the first play by a Black author (Lorraine Hansberry) and a Black director (Lloyd Richards) to be performed on Broadway almost 50 years ago.

Tracking Women's Awareness of Heart Disease  Awareness of the risk of heart disease is increasing among women, but there are significant gaps between perceived and actual risk, especially among minority women and younger women.

Doctors should encourage cardiac rehab programs.  Why do rehab programs prevent a second heart attack? What constitutes a good cardiac rehab program? 

Facts about heart disease among US Women: an atlas of racial and ethnic disparities in mortality from heart disease.  Does where you live matter?
