Maintaining the Appalachian Trail:

A Public-Private Partnership to Promote Conservation and Recreation

Customized syllabus for: W.C.A

Statement of purpose: I would like to work for the TWRA or a similar agency doing wildlife management.

In my service placement I helped with trail building around a bad section of trail at the laurel fork trail head. We cut some trees that had fallen across the trail and built around 200ft of new trail. I also worked with the East Tennessee youth turkey hunt. I prepared a blind and took a kid hunting that didn’t have a place or people to take them hunting. The kids also participated in a shot gun shoot, turkey calling contest, and a program with arrow ministries.
