Water Pollution: Analyzing the Effect of Runoff on the Human Population in East Tennessee

Micah McFaddin -- Customized Syllabus

Feb 12, 2012

Statement of Purpose

I am interested in the effect of synthetic chemicals on humans and the environment, especially the rivers and waterways. I want to learn what specific actions I can take to benefit all parties. I want to reach the point where I can educate others about the harm of certain chemicals. I am a chemistry major, environmental studies minor, and a leadership studies minor. I have acquired a laboratory technician job at a local chemical manufacturing plant. I hope to use the information learned to observe and change environmentally unfriendly situations. I am considering graduate work in several distinct fields.
