bsmith_table7.dat:  from Smith et al. (2004): 
`The COBE DIRBE Point Source Catalog', Astrophysical Journal 
Supplement.

This table contains additional information about 
the sources in the DIRBE Point Source Catalog.
This information was obtained from SIMBAD (as 
of July 22, 2003), 2MASS, the General Catalog 
of Variable Stars (GCVS), the New Catalog of Suspected 
Variables (NSV), the NSV Supplement (NSVS), and the 
Chen et al. (2001) OH/IR star catalog.

All sources in the Catalog have either a 2MASS association,
an IRAS association, or both.  Note that 2MASS associations 
to the IRAS sources are only included if 2MASS J magnitude 
<= 4.51 or 2MASS K magnitude <= 3.81, and IRAS associations 
to the IRAS sources are only included if IRAS F(12) >= 15 Jy 
or F(25) >= 27.5 Jy.

The format is as follows:

a17,1x: DIRBECAT Name

a16,1x: TWOMASS Name

a23,1x: IRAS name

a26,1x: SIMBAD Name

a3,1x: SIMBAD object type

a11,1x: SIMBAD spectral type

f4.1,1x: Offset between SIMBAD position and DIRBE Catalog position

a26,1x: Second SIMBAD Name, if within 5 arcsec of first position

a3,1x: SIMBAD object type for second SIMBAD source

a11,1x: SIMBAD spectral type for second SIMBAD source

f4.1,1x: Offset between the two SIMBAD positions

a1,1x: IRAS LRS type, from Kwok et al. (1997), ApJS, 112, 557.

a12,1x: GCVS, NSV, or NSVS name

a10,1x: GCVS variability type

a2,1x: Set to `OH' if in Chen et al. (2001, A+A, 368, 1006) 
       OH/IR star compilation

a1: Set if GCVS/NSV/NSVS period is lower limit
