The First Semi-Annual Mathematics and Statistics Undergraduate Research Honors Program Seminar (SAMS-UHRP 1) was held on December 5, 2025 in Room 104 of Gilbreath Hall. Presentations were given by several students who registered for honors sections of departmental classes during fall semester 2025. The first student presentation was by Luke Herrell, who presented the results of his research work completed up through his first semester of Honors Thesis.
Funding for lunch was generously supplied by Dean Joe Bidwell of the College of Arts & Sciences, with the administrative assistance of Eli Montana. A Potato Bar was provided (with baked Idaho potatoes and the following choice of toppings: sour cream, chives, steamed broccoli, crumbled bacon, chili, shredded cheese, grilled chicken, and whipped butter), along with rolls, salad and assorted dressings, carrot cake, fresh fruit, cheese, cookies, and a drink choice of water or iced tea.
