The Detail Drawing and Assembly drawings consist of the Following:

Title Block: used to show all necessary information not given by notes or dimensions, however, in an organized matter. The information that should be given in the title blocks are: (in order of importance and see Fig. 3)

* Items Required

Bill of Materials (or Parts List): a list of parts and materials needed for the part shown on the assembly or detail drawings. Elements of a detail drawing BOM (Bill of Materials) are the part nember, the description, the type of material, the specification, and the stock size of the part(s) on the drawing. Elements of an assembly drawing BOM are used to itemize the parts necessary for the assembly of the product. the information in an assembly drawing BOM is the item number, the description, the part number, and the quantity of how many parts are needed. See Figures 4 & 5.

Graphics: must have appropriae views (orthogonal, isometric, auxiliary, detail, cross section, etc,). To define part geometry dimensions and notes give the manufacturer the specifications needed to produce the parts on the drawings.
