Level 1 Group: Brattleboro Option

Day 2: A provocation at the light table During the 5-day seminar participants start each day with a materials exploration. The first day they respond playfully to materials set out by the facilitator. The facilitator videotapes their play and the whole group observes this footage in the afternoon. On consecutive days participants, in teams, set up provocations based on the observations, and, this team documents with the videocamera for the group to observe, and so on ... ...

The Day 3 team has set up the bottles with the light table and tissues, and they have added two new elements: translucent duplos and toilet paper on a roll.

You can see that the colored water that is able to be poured from small containers is stored in larger plastic containers along the wall.

Colored wires from another area of the room are brought over by one of the players who is inspired by the sculptural qualities of the duplos.

Finally, another player places her transparent painting over the sculptural structure to see the effects and develop relationships.
