Research

National Communication Association
http://www.natcom.org
NCA is a widely respected body of Communication scholars. This website is the place to join and find out about the conferences, especially the annual convention.

Southern States Communication Association
http://www.ssca.net
SSCA combines the warmth and charm of the South with research to create an environment that fosters collaboration among its members and the growth of young scholars. This is an excellent place for graduate students to experience "conferencing." Undergraduates may want to note the Undergraduate Honors Conference held in conjunction with the annual convention.

Google Scholar
http://scholar.google.com
This is a very fine research tool. Often a good starting place.
