Delbert L. Hall has been teaching at ETSU since 1986. He has a B.S. Ed. from Western Carolina University, a MFA from UNC-Greensboro and a Ph.D. from the University of Florida. Dr. Hall  has served the Division of Theatre as scenic designer, lighting designer, technical director, and Director of Theatre. In the summer he is the lighting designer for the outdoor drama Trail of the Lonesome Pine in Big Stone Gap, VA. Dr. Hall's area of expertise is in stage rigging and flying performers.  He is has flown performers in over 300 productions.  He is an ETCP Certified Rigger in theatre and regularly teaches workshops on stage rigging.  He is also an active member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology.
