Presentation Project

Presentation Project


Each student will choose a technology / health related issue. Information will be gathered on the topic and a ten minute presentation consisting of a PowerPoint presentation, an oral presentation, and a four page 8.5 x 11 inch printed handout will be completed. The details of the Presentation Project may be found on the Presentation Project Check Sheet.

Presentation Project Reviews


Each presentation will be presented to the class two times. The first presentation will present the idea, content overview, and PowerPoint and graphical concepts. The second and final presentation will be presented as if presenting to a hospital board or community / government panel. On the date of the second presentation the oral presentation will be presented using the completed PowerPoint and the
handouts (black and white) will be distributed to all class members. One color copy of the final handout must be submitted to the instructor as well as black and white copies for all class members. These copies must be submitted at the class meeting prior to the presentation. Presentations will be evaluated by the course instructor and the class members.

Each Presentation must include the following:


1.  How the service/product is used or could be used for public health
2.  How to sign up for the service/product.
3.  The cost of the service/product.
4.  Who sponsors the service/product?
