Mary Mullins Welcome to my website!

I am Mary Mullins, MSW Program Director & Assistant Professor of Social Work at East Tennessee State University.  This website has been designed to provide you with a snapshot into my professional world, which is filled with engagement with students through teaching and other activities; research and writing; and service to the community and my profession.

I identify as a social worker in all aspects of my life.  My training through the years has helped me to embrace the values of my profession.  I value the uniqueness of every individual and firmly hold to the principles of dignity and worth of the individual. Through my teaching, I strive to prepare competent social workers that will also embrace the values of the social work profession.  In addition to teaching, my community service activities have recently focused on addressing the needs of homeless youth in the region.  This involvement has provided the opportunity to engage with the community in organizing needed services for the youth that focus on the well-being and securing a brighter future.

Thank you for visiting!
