initiatives that enhance the cultural environment and the diversity of our
student body, faculty and staff. We send out a monthly flyer,

Our primary goals are:
To strengthen our “pathway” approach for identifying and encouraging
enrollment of disadvantaged and minority students.
To assist with developing strategies for increasing cultural competence
among faculty and students.
To ensure the development and implementation of curricula that will
prepare students to work effectively with diverse populations and
communities.
To facilitate collaboration among the current outreach and recruitment
programs.
To assist in the establishment of programs and resources to facilitate
the development of graduates of our health professions programs as
future faculty.
To develop new sources of support for divisional efforts.
