Current research & writing projects

  • Evidence-based practices in law enforcement training. Collaborative project with the Walters State Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy.

Important information

  • Continuing research projects involve the use of original data from justice-involved adults and youth, and data derived from forensic mental health facility staff and administrators, in addition to data obtained from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the Bureau of Justice Statistics, and the National Registry of Exonerations.
  • SHARK lab research includes both quantitative and qualitative data and methodology, as well as primary and secondary data collection.  Analytic methodologies range from linear and logistic regression, to meta-analysis, to factor analysis and SEM.
  • Grad/undergrad students and I present papers and posters at numerous conferences per year, including ATSA, APA, APLS, SEPA, and APS.
