Anisha C. Patel (MA) is a 5th-year Clinical Psychology PhD student, completing her internship with the Nevada Psychology Internship Consortium, Forensic Assessment track, in Las Vegas, NV. She received her MA in Psychological Sciences from James Madison University and her BS in Psychology/Forensic Psychology from George Mason University. She is completing her doctoral dissertation, "Assessing competence to stand trial in the general US population: Understanding the role of education, demographics, and other correlates." Her publications and presentations broadly focus on competency to stand trial and factors that influence legal system outcomes.

Abigail G. Wiser (BS) is a 4th-year Clinical Psychology MA/PhD student, currently completing her clinical training with the Gambling Clinic East at East Tennessee State University. She completed her BS in Clinical and Forensic Psychology at George Mason University. She currently holds the position of SHARK Lab Coordinator and is a recent recipient of the ETSU Graduate Studies Thesis Grant Award. Her publications and presentations broadly focus on suicide and stigma in forensic mental health settings, as well as factors associated with exoneration and legal system outcomes.

Makenna G. Castle (BS) is a 2nd-year Clinical Psychology MA/PhD student, currently working on her Masters thesis focusing on mental health traning and knowledge in law enforcement officers. She completed her BS in Clinical Psychology at East Tennessee State University. Her publications and presentations broadly focus on wrongful convictions, sexual violence, and dating violence in young adult relationships.

Madelyn K. Pfeiffer (BA) is a 2nd-year Clinical Psychology MA/PhD student, currently working on her Masters thesis involving characteristics of criminal behavior in rural and urban environments. She completed her BA in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her research interests include suicide and serious mental illness in forensic settings, recidivism, and reentry.

Lindsay Brewer (MSW, LCSW) is a 1st-year Clinical Psychology MA/PhD student and former post-graduate SHARK lab Research Assistant (2025-2026). She completed her BS in Psychology at Towson University and her MSW at the University of Maryland. She is an LSCW and psychotherapist who has worked with youth, families, adults, and older adults in a variety of forensic, outpatient, and day treatment programs. Her research interests include trauma and suicidality, focusing specifically on how trauma and systemic factors contribute to risks of harm to self and others in vulnerable and justice-involved populations.
