The table below lists the topics that will be covered on Test 2. Included for each topic is the reading from the textbook for that topic.
This semester represents a radical change in the material covered during weeks 5 through 10, and therefore, the old tests really are not representative of the material. For the table stuff, old test 2's should work. Look at old test 3's to find questions on style sheets. As for the design questions, there really isn't going to be much to show for in terms of old tests. There are some design questions on the old test 2's, but you need to use your judgement to determine if they are valid to study from. Just be sure to look at your notes and the reading from the text book.
Topic | Assigned Reading | Additional Resources |
Tables | Chapter 8 | You can also look at my notes for table tags, my prototyping with tables notes, and the in-class debugging exercise we did. Make sure you can debug each of the table problems in the in-class exercise. |
Graphic Design Basics | Chapter 3 | I really don't want for you to go wandering off to find additional information to study. Just make sure you know what's in the book and in the notes presented in class. If you want additional resources, however, see the Yale C/AIM Web Style Guide |
Site Design | Chapter 4 | |
Page Design & Layout | Chapter 5 | |
Cascading Style Sheets | Chapter 12 | You can take a look at the class notes, or if they don't work for you, you can look at Mulder's Stylesheets Tutorial Lessons on Webmonkey (Note that there's a great deal of information here. Use these tutorials to learn how to use stylesheets, not to memorize every attribute. |
