Active Learning

Recently there has been a fundamental shift in the way science is taught.  More and more educators in secondary and post-secondary environments are using student-centered active-learning strategies to engage students and promote ownership of content.

One of the most exciting developments in recent years has been the development of Process-Oriented Guided-Inquiry Learning. Explore the links to the right to learn more about POGIL and see example of activities I have developed for anatomy and physiology.  You may also request access to activities by sending an email to brownpj[at]etsu.edu.
