ENTC 2170 — Assignment 3.1:
Introduction to 3D Modeling using Rhino 3D

  1. Start AutoCAD and open the wrench geometry file generated in Assignment #2.4.
    Using the File->Save As menu choice, save the part geometry file in DXF format.
  2. Start Rhino 3D and import the DXF file geometry into the TOP view.
  3. Extrude the outer circles to a height of .75 units.
  4. "Punch" out the bolt head geometry completely through the outer cylinders.

  1. Extrude the center webs to a height of .375 units.
  2. Move the flange(s) up 0.1875 to center the web on the outer cylinders.
  3. Save your work and a rendering of the final model
