Bliss baby blanket
I'm making the
blanket from
Baby
knits for beginners. I'm using five different colored balls of
Lion Brand Cotton-Ease instead of the cashmerino blend that Bliss recommends
for several reasons.
 |
First, aren't any yarn
stores locally that carry Bliss fibers. Next, I'm afraid the
cashmerino would be too warm in Qatar, as I'm making it for
a friend's baby, Cashion, and I don't want him to get too hot.
And lastly, beside being cooler, I imagine that the cotton
will wash up easier; with less fuss, that is. |
Although
I loved the muted colors that Bliss used in putting together
the example in the book, I'm not so pleased with the colors
I selected.
I have a
bright yellow, bright teal, and then pastel turquoise, green,
and lilac, so who knows how it will turn out. I could always
dye it after the fact, right? |

More about this project as I get closer to finishing the swatches!
