Bliss baby blanket

I'm making the blanket from Baby knits for beginners. I'm using five different colored balls of Lion Brand Cotton-Ease instead of the cashmerino blend that Bliss recommends for several reasons.

First, aren't any yarn stores locally that carry Bliss fibers. Next, I'm afraid the cashmerino would be too warm in Qatar, as I'm making it for a friend's baby, Cashion, and I don't want him to get too hot. And lastly, beside being cooler, I imagine that the cotton will wash up easier; with less fuss, that is.
Although I loved the muted colors that Bliss used in putting together the example in the book, I'm not so pleased with the colors I selected.

I have a bright yellow, bright teal, and then pastel turquoise, green, and lilac, so who knows how it will turn out. I could always dye it after the fact, right?

More about this project as I get closer to finishing the swatches!
