Welcome to class! Your first assignment, as trivial as it may seem, is to e-mail me at tarnoffetsu.edu from the e-mail account that you use regularly. In your message, you must tell me whether you wish to be added to our e-mail list (courtesy of Yahoo!). This list will provide you with:

• the latest information on class assignments, tests, lecture notes, and lab exercises (much of this will be duplicated on this "News" page);
• an opportunity to ask and answer questions based on the material presented in the course (students should feel free to answer questions as I may not be available all of the time); and
• a place where you can communicate with other students about setting up study groups.

Please send me an e-mail before the second class period. Once you have been added to the list, you should get a confirmation notice from Yahoo! stating that you've been added. If you do not receive this message within two days of sending me your e-mail address, please send another e-mail to me. ETSU's e-mail system has been notoriously bad for the past year.

This assignment must be completed by the end of week one!
