In the summer of 2022 Dr. Ginley along with Drs. Whelan and Pfund from the University of Memphis received a grant from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to increase access to gambling treatment for all Tennesseans. This effort includes the opening of The Gambling Clinic-East at ETSU. This clinic is staffed by graduate student clinicians and supervised by Drs. Ginley, Pfund, and Whelan.
