Applied Mechanics 1 (Statics) Class Notes
Engineering Mechanics: Statics, 2nd Edition,
Anthony Bedford and Wallace Fowler
Bedford and Fowler's Satics book, 2nd edition

Copies of the classnotes are on the internet in PDF format as given below. These online notes are based on notes used in the "Applied Mechanics 1 (Statics)" (MATH 2610) fall 1998 class. These PDF notes have not been classroom tested and may contain typegraphical errors. I am making them available now because of the new engineering program instituted at ETSU in 2017. A contemporary statics class may include more computer assisted solutions; the solutions in the notes are handwritten on engineering paper, as was traditionally done. This class corresponds to the current TTU-ETSU Dual Degree class CEE 2110, "Statics" (the prerequisite for which is Technical Physis 1, PHYS 2110, and a grade of C or better in Calculus 2, MATH 1920). A description of this program is on the TTU-ETSU Bachelor of Science in Engineering program webpage (accessed September 26, 2018).
